With the right smoothie addition, you can take your smoothies to the next level of health and flavor.

When it comes to smoothie add-ins, I love tinkering around with as many as I can because the right ones can add extra health benefits, flavor, and texture to smoothies!

After all, why settle for the mundane when there are so many smoothie additions you can add to change up your routine?

Need more greens? Find a great greens powder to add to your smoothie.  Love chocolate and a little crunch? Well, cacao nibs are great, healthy smoothie add-ins. Bee pollen and chia seeds are excellent superfood add-ins for power-packed smoothies and juices.

No one likes to drink the same smoothie every day. How boring, right?  That’s why I decided to share my top favorite smoothie add-ins. I love smoothies, but I also love to experiment with add-ins!

Here are my four favorites!

LadyBoss Greens ®

We can all use a little extra help when it comes to getting more greens into our diet. After all, that is why I created LadyBoss Greens!

By adding a scoop of LadyBoss Greens to your smoothie, you are adding a detoxifying alkaline formula that helps battle free radicals within your body.  It also helps support a healthy immune system and can reduce inflammation throughout the body.

Not to mention that one scoop of GREENS is also equivalent to eight servings of fruits and vegetables.  Plus, it tastes like apple pie.  And, let’s be honest, who wouldn’t love to drink a smoothie that tastes like apple pie?

Cacao Nibs

Cacao nibs are simply bits from the cacao bean and not only taste delicious (Hello, it’s chocolate after all) but are also healthy for you!

Tossing just a single ounce of cacao nibs can provide you with 36% of your daily fiber requirements.  More fiber means better digestion and can also help with improved nutrient absorption.  Cacao nibs are also rich in antioxidants and flavonoids that can help battle certain diseases, including certain cancers, heart disease, and even diabetes!

So, in addition to a delicious chocolate taste, cacao nibs are also disease-fighters.  Yes, please!

Chia Seeds

Arguably one of the most popular superfoods – and no, it’s not because of your childhood chia pet – but thanks to their versatility and powerful health benefits.

Chia seeds are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which are excellent for heart health.  They also provide extra protein and plenty of fiber.  Chia seeds also support weight loss.  Because when they combine with liquids in your stomach, they create a jelly-like substance that keeps you feeling fuller for longer.

So pick up a bag next time you’re at the grocery store and then toss a handful of these powerful seeds into your next smoothie!

Bee Pollen

This fact will probably not come as a surprise, but bee pollen is a nutrition marvel.  It’s packed with a variety of antioxidants that can reduce chronic inflammation, fight infections, and combat the growth and spread of tumors.

Bee pollen also packs a punch regarding antibacterial and antiviral properties, which can help give the immune system a boost and help reduce the impact of seasonal allergies.

Quickly gain the benefits of bee pollen by dropping a scoop of it into the blender with your smoothie or make it a smoothie topping for added texture.

So Much To Explore

Bee pollen, LadyBoss GREENS, cacao nibs, and chia seeds are just a few healthy smoothie add-ins; there are so many to explore! Just make sure any add-in brings flavor and health benefits,  and not unnecessary added sugar, fat, and calories.
